SENTECH’s Electricity and Distributed Energy area provides consulting services related to infrastructure modernization and distributed energy business models. We offer insights on perspectives from both sides of the meter — both electricity supply and delivery as well as energy use. We specialize in new energy systems including distributed generation, grid modernization, CHP, and energy storage. We enable our clients to understand the complex and dynamic electricity infrastructure market and formulate strategies and actions that deliver results consistent with their business objectives.
The Electricity and Distributed Energy team has decades of combined experience in how demand-side approaches and distributed generation technologies — renewables, microturbines and turbines, energy storage, energy reliability, microgrids, mesh networks, fuel cells, reciprocating engines, and combined heating and power (CHP) — can be safely and efficiently integrated into the electricity delivery networks to provide value to both energy providers and end-users. Our power systems experience includes distribution planning, energy storage, power quality and reliability, grid support, peak load management, interconnection, ancillary services, demand response, dispatch, SCADA, communications systems, energy security, and tariff design.
SENTECH is working to bring these innovative technologies to the forefront of our nation’s energy supply system. Our staff has provided solutions to equipment suppliers, technology developers, energy companies and utilities, federal and government agencies, research organizations, industry associations and end users.
